But today is the most important game of the Knicks season. Not even close. So many people are freaking out being down 2-1. I get it. Julius Randle has been awful. RJ has sucked. Not great when the top-2 scorers are doing, well, nothing. You HAVE to keep playing through them, Julius especially. He's what got the Knicks here. He dominated for 66 of 72 games. He's in a funk and getting away from him isn't what you do in the playoffs. If you want to win in the NBA playoffs, you play through your best player. Plain and simple.
We win this afternoon game, we go back to the Garden with homecourt advantage. Shit is back to normal with a win. Despite how bad the Knicks have looked so far this series. Despite Trae Young going off. Despite me starting to hate the shit out of Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter. 2-2 and we have 2 games left at the Garden. That's all that matters.
Noel fucking battled game 3. The dude is injured and out there playing. I think you gotta go back to starting him. Gibson is the perfect off the bench type player. Try to take away early lobs and PnR with Trae/Capela/Collins. Then you need to start mixing guard play. Give Frankie a little run to mix it up on Trae. If it's a slow start bring Burks/Quickley in quicker than normal. Worst case scenario break out this defense.
