Chris Simms went out of his way to say that it is not personal with Justin Fields. He said that he hopes Fields shits on him and proves him wrong and turns into a great QB and all that. I heard that part too. Having said that...fuck you, man. This entire video is about his mechanics. His footwork. His backswing. The release. The balance. Whatever. He said that all of those things contribute to making him an inaccurate quarterback. Uhhh...what? Buddy...maybe his mechanics aren't perfect at the moment, but that is our quarterback and the one thing he grades out at better than anyone else in the draft class is accuracy. I am not an expert. Justin Fields is tops in the class on all passes thrown five-plus yards downfield over the past two seasons with a 61.6% on-target rate, narrowly edging out Alabama's Mac Jones. That’s not quite at the 66.1% we saw from Joe Burrow last year, but it far outpaces most of the other top quarterbacks in the class. Inaccurate? No, actually...the most accurate. Are his mechanics perfect? Clearly not. Is he still effective...you better fucking believe it. Oh and if he gets proper coaching this summer and works on said mechanics...he has the highest mental aptitude ever recorded

Can he pick up the offense? Yeah. Can he battle through injury? Yes. Can he fix his release, most definitely. There is reason why he was projected so high in the draft basically since he was born. The kid is the truth. There is a reason why he's been great everywhere. There's a reason why we reacted like this on draft night

I am not going to let Simms take a dump on our parade 3 months before we even have training camp. No, sir. We've been waiting too long and Fields is already too good to let Simms sit here and tell us that Kellen fucking Mond is a better quarterback. I won't have it.
