Gerrit Cole Shut Down The White Sox On Saturday As Yankees Starting Pitchers Continue to Thrive

Yankees 7  White Sox 0

Gerrit Cole pitched today for the Yankees which meant the White Sox scored zero runs. Zero, as in less than one. The hilarious part is that Cole wasn't even close to his best. He'll probably punish himself for walking three guys in this one despite going seven shutout and striking out seven in the process. You know how good you have to be to give up zero runs over seven and not look your best?

On Saturday Cole was assisted with the help of some excellent infield defense, turning four double plays throughout his performance. Gio Urshela continues to be a marvel at 3rd base.

Once Cole was given a three run cushion in the 4th this game was over.

The hot bat of Gleyber Torres carried the offense in this one going 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs. Maybe everyone should get covid twice?

My man has been scorching hot at the plate since coming off the covid protocol list.

It was an easy W in the Bronx on Saturday. Great to be out in the bleachers with the people getting a nice little tan in as well. Seven straight series victories for the boys. Playing great baseball and moving up the standings while they do so.

Hey WSD, is this rotation any good?
