Ja Morant Just Went Into Steph Curry's House And Ended His Season

When the Grizzlies and Warriors played on the 16th, Ja Morant had a rough night. He finished with just 16 points on 7-21 shooting, all while Steph Curry went nuclear right in his eyeball for 46. So what does he do as a response? He ends Steph Curry's season. A monster 35/6/6/4 on 14-29 shooting, including that dagger. For a guy that's a 30% three point shooter, he made 5 3PM tonight. Big bucket after big bucket Ja Morant rose to the occasion. After last year and losing both play in games to miss the playoffs, Morant and the Grizzlies have now pulled off the exact opposite. When the Warriors won that game on the 16th it gave them 8th place in the West, so it's rather unfortunate for them that they lost both play in games. First a LeBron dagger prayer and now this. A game like this is exactly why the play in tournament is such an awesome idea. Anything can happen in a singular game.

Even with Steph Curry going for 39, it wasn't enough. Andrew Wiggins couldn't buy a bucket down the stretch and the Warriors would not stop turning it over under any circumstances. That's never what you want to see when your season is on the line. Pretty wild that we now have an MVP finalist that didn't make the playoffs, but you obviously can't blame Steph for any of this. He's been incredible all year.

But this is about Ja Morant.

In just his second year, he has star written all over him. His shooting could use some work, but he's a big time player that makes big time plays in big time games. Don't forget, he's only 21 years old. It's not all that often you see a 21 year old go into Steph's house and end his season. I'm sure Adam Silver is beyond bullshit that the league can't market Steph for the playoffs, he did all he could assigning Scott Foster to this game, but sometimes guys like Morant have different plans.
