Not Great! One Of The Real Housewives Got Caught Red Handed Lying About Helping People During COVID
Source - All eyes were on Ramona Singer when her “Real Housewives of New York City” castmates pressed her about whether she had actually donated plasma during the coronavirus pandemic.
After Singer told People in July 2020 that she and daughter Avery had tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies and “donated our plasma,” Leah McSweeney confronted her about the claim during Tuesday’s episode.
“So, they did the test, and it turned out I had COVID, so that’s it,” Singer, 64, told her co-stars, including Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps and newbie Eboni K. Williams. McSweeney, 38, responded, “Then you donated the blood plasma.”
“Did you really though?” she asked Singer, who replied: “They took something when I went to the center. I said, ‘Use my antibodies,’ because I had very strong antibodies.”
McSweeney then noted, “You have to do it over and over again,” adding, “It’s a whole process.” “I just want to know if you lied about donating the blood plasma?” McSweeney later asked Singer, who insisted, “I don’t lie.”
But when Singer told McSweeney she just wanted her to stop, the Married to the Mob founder refused to back down.
“No, I’m not going to stop. I just want to know if you donated it or not,” she added. “I feel like to lie is very unethical.”
Singer, who said she experienced mild COVID-19 symptoms in February 2020, eventually decided to remove herself from the conversation, telling McSweeney, “I’m not lying about anything.”
Of all the things not to lie about in 2021, helping people with COVID is arguably top of the list. Too many people died, too many people got sick, and too many people were affected. Which is why when I saw this headline I audibly gasped. Like most of our readers, I'm a Ramona guy- I just can't defend her here.
