I'll Be Honest, Jayson Tatum Not Liking Mac & Cheese Is Concerning

For the first time in over a month, the Celts have two consecutive days off. If we're being honest, it feels like the hiatus we all lived through last year. Watching this team play every other day with some B2Bs mixed in has basically become a way of life, so I'm getting a little antsy. Seeing as how there are no games to talk about, we got this latest episode of Wingin' It, which I have blogged before and thoroughly enjoy. Remember these?

Impossible to not love that.

So today the topic was foods they would never eat, and I have to be honest with you, I'm a little concerned. For starters, what's with all the hate on mushrooms? Mushrooms are delicious and very versatile. You can throw them on pizza, in an omelet, on a sandwich, in a quesadilla, with pasta, the list goes on an on. You can stir fry them, stuff them, roast them, as you can tell I'm a big mushroom guy. Baby bellas all day. But at the same time this is something you hear people say they don't like all the time so I get it.

What threw me for a loop was Tatum's group.

1. Mushrooms

2. Mac & Cheese

3. Sushi

4. Horseradish

5. Bologna (initially)

I know Tatum usually only eats tacos with a shit ton of cheese and now Subway subs, but that list is very concerning to me. Mostly because everything he listed is extremely delicious. He eventually came around and realized that Bologna was passable, but that doesn't excuse his other four. I didn't even know it was possible for someone to not like mac & cheese. Especially when the dude LOVES cheese

You would think that he would be down for anything that was primarily….cheese. I can sort of understand sushi if you're not a seafood guy and get freaked out by the raw fish or whatever, but I also have to disagree with the horseradish take as well. That shit is delicious. I now fear Tatum has never had a proper roast beef sandwich. You can see how this escalates rather quickly. Someone needs to get this man to NERB in Worcester (the GOAT) and get him a super beef with horseradish immediately. It'll change his life.

But back to mac & cheese for a second. In my opinion there is not a bad option no matter what direction you go. Simple stuff out of the box? It plays. You a Velveeta person over Kraft? That works. You want to get fancy and make it yourself in your cast iron? Highly recommend. Throw some crispy bacon in there, maybe a little hot sauce if you're into things with a little kick and you could argue mac & cheese is one of the few perfect foods out there. I don't know how to process this information as we prepare for the playoffs, but I know it matters on some level. Is Tatum actually onto something? Are we the idiots for actually eating mac & cheese despite it being outrageously delicious? Has my entire life been a lie?

Also, tough luck for Tristan Thompson to refuse to eat any type of seafood in existence while living in Boston of all places. Maybe he's just never had good seafood or something but I suggest he give it another shot. He's missing out big time.

I don't know what I expected Rob to say, but it certainly wasn't lettuce. My follow up question would be is it a Glenny Balls situation where he only really eats shredded lettuce? Or is he out on lettuce all together? Shredded lettuce is almost its own category for me. You get shredded lettuce and normal lettuce on the same sandwich and the shredded lettuce one will taste better. That's not me talking, that's science. Doesn't matter if it's a burger or a sub or just a regular old sandwich you make in your kitchen.

All I know is I just need it to be Thursday so I can start spending my time worrying about how this team is going to beat the Suns instead of sitting here worrying about how Jayson Tatum does not like mac & cheese. These two off days are killing me.
