Cubs Trade For Dan Haren

Love this move for 2 reasons. 1) Obviously the Cubs needed another starter. If you’re going to hang around you can’t keep going with the Wada/Beeler/Hendricks/Wood in relief back end of the rotation. Dan Haren isn’t going to set the world on fire, this isn’t 2007 but he’s a huge upgrade in that 4/5 spot. 2) It’s a rental so I’m assuming the Cubs didn’t give up much and for the first time in forever the Cubs are buying at the deadline instead of selling. Get those playoff tickets warmed up baby (probably still not because we can’t hit for shit right now).
