It was great to see baseball fans back in the stands where they belong. I'm happy they were able to play games last season, but we can't do the whole empty stadium thing ever again. Now that the fans are back that also means it's time for Astros players to face the music and get the ever living shit booed out of them. I want these pricks hearing boos in their sleep. Manfred refused to punish these assholes himself because 1) he gave them immunity for no reason 2) he felt the fans "bullying" was enough of a punishment despite no one being able to go to games. Well, now the fans can get their money's worth. On Opening Night the A's faithful were able to let Carlos Correa have it after taking a 94 mph fastball up and in on the arm. On purpose? No chance, but who cares? Is it a free base to the Astros which will further increase their chances of scoring in said inning? Absolutely. Standing ovation. Baseball is a weird sport no doubt.
These guys are obviously not new customers to a good ol' fashioned hit by pitch, we saw that last year. The addition of fans, however, makes it so much better. Head Scumbag Carlos Correa being the guy getting plunked (intentional or not) is always great. Quite possibly the most insufferable guy on the planet. Props to the A's fans for bringing the noise on Thursday night. Gonna be a nice long season for the fellas in Houston. Just wait til they make that visit to the Bronx in May.
