I Don't Have The Words To Express How Tough The Bruins Are To Watch Right Now So Here's A Chart

I truly just don't have the words right now. I know this is a blog. I know I am technically writing the written word. But I am down bad. I am sad. I'm stuck in this vicious cycle where the Bruins play well one night and then refuse to continue to string together a solid stretch of games. Right now it's one step forward two steps back. Tonight they were utterly dominated for 30 minutes, Brad Marchand scored to pull them within one, and then seconds later the Penguins score right in their faces and drain them of all hope. Such a fucking dagger. Piss poor puck management all night long and that was all she wrote.

B's play well …  immediately make a mistake/play like shit.. I get disappointed…. Repeat.

Frustrating, annoying, not good enough, sloppy… you name it… That's what the B's are right now.

- B's defense continues to take blows… Brandon Carlo suffered an upper body injury in the 1st period and did not return. No update. Jeremy Lauzon needed stitches. Both Charlie McAvoy (awkward fall) and Matt Grzelcyk (puck to head) left to go to the room as well. Tough time to be a Bruins defenseman.

-  Like I said earlier, just piss poor puck management tonight. Sloppy plays. Passengers. Zero execution.

- Bruce Cassidy called out his veterans after the game. David Pastrnak is having a tough stretch of games right now, no doubt. He's just been invisible. Turning pucks over. Patrice Bergeron has gone 9 games without a goal.

- Jeremy Lauzon getting walked by checks notes defenseman Mike Matheson…? yikes. Give me Tinordi on Saturday. I think Lauzon just needs a game off to reset. Hasn't looked 100% since his hand injury.

Burn the tapes for this one, turn the page and get back to it on Saturday.

FINAL: Pittsburgh 4, Boston 1

But hey good thing we didn't re-sign Zdeno Chara! Kevan Miller has no timetable to return… B's are hanging onto the 4th spot in the East, but if they keep this up it might not be long for the NYR/PHI to overtake them. Can't believe that's a real sentence I just typed. Games in hand but what's the point if you can't string together some wins.

11 days until the trade deadline. Do you even have faith in Sweeney right now to improve this team? Do you even want him to try? Sound off in the comments.

This team is too good on paper to continue to play like this… Cassidy believes they are resilient… so let's see it. I'll be making my way to Boston on Saturday afternoon to try and will this team to a win. But right now…
