ESPN Had Bo Bichette Awkwardly Sing 'Peaches' by Justin Bieber and Karl Ravech Thought He Wrote the Song

I'm sorry, what the hell is this? Who put this on TV?

So in the middle of Opening Day, we have Karl Ravech and ESPN hounding Bo Bichette to sing something — because that's what everybody tuned in to watch. And Bichette awkwardly acquiesces and sings two lines of Justin Bieber's "Peaches" before Ravech asks him how much time he spends writing songs. Spoiler alert: he did not write that song. And just for an added bonus, I'm sure the Blue Jays are thrilled that he could have sung literally anything in the world and chose to say that he gets his weed from California.

But the story is just that ESPN will do seemingly anything it can to make sure its baseball broadcasts are as insufferable as possible. For all the flack the Sunday Night Baseball crew has gotten over the last few years, I'll take that 11 times out of 10 over whatever the cringefest I just watched was. And since that was presumably taped before the game, they actually had time to scrap that and still chose to air it. That actually makes me woke on this and now I think they may have done it on purpose.

Just show the baseball game. We'll watch, I promise.
