Im Not Crying, You Pussy. YOURE CRYING Because An Enlisted Father Gets To Salute His Officer Son Causing Everyone BUT ME To Cry

What a moment, folks. For those who havent been around the military much, here's what's goin on. The gentleman in the fancy uniform has been a Marine for a long time. On the bottom of the right sleeve on his dress blues, each stripe represents 4 years. You get your first one after you have served for four years. The man in cammies is his son. He just graduated from Officer Candidate School.

One of the longstanding traditions is asking someone who you respect to be the first person to salute you. You can either pick an instructor, like a drill instructor or drill sergeant, or you can ask someone who has impacted your life. This young butter bar, decided to ask his dad. For the dad here, Id imagine hes flooded with emotions. One, your son is standing there after finishing a grueling school that has intense physical standards. He's earned not only the title of Marine but is now a leader of Marines. The little boy you raised is going to be leading men and women in the finest fighting force the world has ever known. Two, your son now has a job and isnt gonna be on your couch anymore. You can have sex at full volume. Pretty sick.

Im not sure what is going on this lovely morning but, it seems like a morning of sharing father/child moments on twitter. This gentleman had his moment with his son and I had my moment with my daughter. Sure, this Master Sergeant's moment was when his kid became a 2nd Lt in the Marine Corps and my moment was just a bit different but they are both special.
