JUNCTION PUNCHES FOR EVERYONE! OHIO DID IT! DOWN GOES VIRGINIA

Go crazy Court Street! All the Fests stand up! What was all that talk about the public dog? Sometimes it doesn't matter. Sometimes the public dog is the right play because they are just the better team. Virginia coming off quarantine vs Ohio who had the perfect sort of offense to beat the Packline. You obviously have the star in Jason Preston but you have a guy in Ben Vander Plas who shoots the shit out of the ball and can run pick and pop and put Hauser in weird defensive spots. Yes, they turned it over some, but you know what they also did? Settled in. Preston did what he always does, get others involved then looks to attack in the second half. He's VERY similar to Cade Cunningham in that aspect of the game. What did he do? End up with a ho hum 11, 13 and 8. He only attempted 7 shots, but he attacked Virginia's offense exactly how he should have. Vander Plas hit a HUGE three at the end of the first half to cover and go in just down 1. That translated in the second half when he hit a couple more threes during a 16-2 run and finished with 17. Just perfect execution from Ohio.

I said it before but this was a weird Virginia team. I'm not even just talking after the pause. They had a lot of flaws defensively. Offensively they were vastly improved from last year but teams were daring Clark to beat them from outside. They traded in Diakite's defense for Hauser's offense. They never really figured it out in the sense of being this top-15 team. The resume was even weird.

But this is all about Ohio. I love watching this team because Preston is legit awesome. They surround him with shooters in Vander Plas and Roderick. This was my favorite bet of the entire first round. I was on Ohio every which way possible. And to love them even more the guy Ben Vander Plas just wants some chocolate milk.
