On Behalf Of Short Kings Everywhere, I Demand An Apology From Ben Simmons
Okay so first off, I'd just like to mention that we the Short King Delegation do not claim this Wizards announcer who took an unprompted shot at Ben Simmons and calling him the most overrated player in the league. That man is an absolute buffoon. A complete and total imbecile. Anybody who has watched Ben Simmons this year, especially on the defensive side of the court, and still has the nerve to say that he's not in that upper-echelon of NBA players simply does not deserve to have any credibility when covering the sport.
Now with that being said...I mean I can't just sit here and allow Ben Simmons to attack this man's height without any resistance at all. Total dumbass or not, the fact that this dude is 5'5" is completely irrelevant.
I'm sure that Ben Simmons must be soooooo proud of all the hard work he's put in to achieve his height of 6'11". While all the other kids were playing video games with their friends, Ben Simmons was working on getting his height up. Day after day, night after night, Ben Simmons was doing all the little things to make sure that he grew up to be 83 inches tall. It certainly couldn't just be genetics. It certainly couldn't just be something that he was born with and had absolutely no control over. Because if this commentator can get put on blast for being 5'5" then clearly it's his own fault, right?
All I'm saying is that I have a dream that one day guys who are under 5'10" won't be unjustly ridiculed for our size in stature. You want to rip a short dude because he's a total dickface? By all means go ahead. But someone has to step up and fight back for the literally little guys. And I suppose that person for the time being can be me. At least until tomorrow when I find something new to care about.
Might just want to apologize to the entire city of San Antonio while we're at it.
