Bill Walton Woofing, Imitating A Falcon And Hijacking The Broadcast From Dave Pasch At 1am Is What Championship Week Is All About

There are a few guarantees during Championship Week. You're going to get some mayhem, got that yesterday. You're going to get upsets, check there too. You're going to sit on your ass for 13+ hours watching basketball and sweating out games. You're also going to get late night Bill Walton and boy did we get that one. It started with him grunting really out of nowhere. That's what I need at 1am when he's been on the mic for 4+ hours already. He had a triple OT game before this. You just knew you were in for something. We had him hijack the show from Pasch:

Him and Pasch just continue to have the perfect relationship. Pasch is one of the only guys that knows how to lob up the easy stuff for him and then just go about calling the game. In my eyes Pasch should be in the Hall of Fame on that alone.

When we're here fighting to stay awake and hit one last bet, this is what I want. It's 2:15 in the morning, I don't need Fran Frashcilla telling me about jump stops for as great of an analyst he is. We need Walton doing shit like this to keep us entertained with Pac-12 after dark. It's still insane to me that people don't even know how good Walton was. He's arguably the greatest college player ever. He's an NBA MVP. The man was special. People just know him as the crazy announcer guy. Just the absolute best for early morning games.
