Stylebender Hits The Scales Well Under The Light Heavyweight Limit This Morning With A Pizza Box In Hand

Tomorrow night - at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya will be jumping up to the light heavyweight division and attempting to become the latest 'Champ Champ' that the sport of mixed martial arts has to offer. If he's successful in that endeavor, he'll be the first to accomplish that feat while remaining undefeated. It won't be easy, though, as he's got some heavy Polish Power standing in his way in newly crowned champ Jan Blachowicz, who has become an absolute wrecking ball over the past couple years, most recently finishing Dominick Reyes inside two rounds.

There was some chatter early on in the week about how little Stylebender changed for this camp, even down to his diet/nutrition (despite moving up into a weight class a full 20lbs ahead of where he currently fights), and he made a few headlines when he teased weighing in at 193lbs to Ariel Helwani....

....but today he hit the scales at 200.5, only 4.5lbs under the limit (which isn't TOO crazy!), and with a pizza box in hand! 

(Some reports claimed that he weighed in at 201.5lbs but I think that was just confusion about the fella from the athletic commission saying "two hundred and one-half pounds")

Still, Blanchowicz should have a pretty decent size advantage in the cage tomorrow night considering he DID cut to make 205lbs, and I can't wait to see how this fight plays out because of that. It could be an all out war, could be a strategic chess match type, who knows!

I'm also obviously pulling for Izzy, not only because I'm a fan of his, but because I really want him to go into that Jon Jones superfight undefeated....

Imagine how much hype would be around that fight if so? Especially if crowds are back in full swing by December? Inject it into my veins.
