FOOTBALL STUFF: Jason Kelce, Darius Slay, And Brandon Graham Are Restructuring Their Contracts To Stay With The Eagles

OK...cool? I get why the Eagles wanna do this to keep actual football players on the football team. It's a no brainer from a team standpoint currently in the 7th level of Dante's shaft Inferno of cap HELL. It even makes sense for Slay and Brandon Graham who obviously have some years left and the restructuring only moves money around for them and won't take anything away.

But...Jason Kelce? Love it. The dude is still playing at a high level, but he's also a HARD 33-years-old. And I say hard cause as a NFL Center it ain't about the years, it's about the mileage. And Jason Kelce may have already racked up more on his speedometer than Al Bundy's Dodge. He can easily walk away from the game and walk around as the living legend he is in the Delaware Valley for the rest of his days. Kelce could buy SIC tomorrow and reign over Ocean Drive as a Lord if he pleased and everyone would love it. Or he could demand a trade to a contender like the Chiefs (still may happen) and actually play meaningful football in his final years.

But as of now, Kelce is still going to be playing football as a Philadelphia Eagle. And you gotta fucking respect that. Long live #62.

We discussed that and more on this week's First Time, Long Time - Barstool's very unsanctioned Philly podcast with myself and Rone. Give it a gander We'll hang up and listen.
