Well that's quite a meeting. I bet coach Culley was up all night for weeks, going over his pitch to Deshaun. Showing him that he's "all in" and "wants him there" and "will do anything to make sure the Texans become winners" and Deshaun gave them the big olllll

He just absolutely does not want to be on that franchise anymore. The damage done by Bill O'Brien won't be reversed for years. DeAndre Hopkins- Gone. JJ Watt- Gone. And now Deshaun Watson- Gone. "No intention of playing for the Texans again" is pretty strong.

I don't think Deshaun is in one of those "I'll retire if I'm not traded" scenarios so he doesn't have all the leverage, but I also think the Texans will admit defeat on this one and take the best deal. It'll get them (at least) 3 first rounders, mid-rounders, and possibly top-tier players as well. I won't say something like "The Texans will be better off in the long run" because clearly losing Deshaun is a devastating blow. A franchise QB like him is extremely hard to come by. But if they cannot get him to buy in, they will have to move him. A very bad situation for the Texans, but they have nobody to blame but themselves.
