Oil Us Up: RA's Gambling Corner Feat. Murls

Giphy Images.

There's not many better gambling feelings than cashing when the game is only half over like last night in Toronto. Oddly enough, Hogberg got the start but it was Murray who got tuned up after the starter suffered a LBI. Whatever, a win is a win.

Calgary's back-up David Rittich is making just his 3rd start of the season and 1st in 17 days (though he did relieve Markstrom for the final 12+ minutes Wednesday night). Other than his stinker on Monday, Mike Smith appears to have grabbed control of the opportunity in the Edmonton crease and looked good vs. Winnipeg Wednesday. This should be enough of a mismatch to make a difference. So like our boy Murls, I am on Edmonton money line -110. And I'm also taking them -1.5 +280 for half of the money line play

Good luck to all.

Friend of Spittin' Chiclets, son of The Capital District, and 17-year pro Matt Murley will also be sharing his picks here as well.

Edmonton Oilers @ Calgary Flames (pick 'em, o/u 6.5)

Murls Take: What a weekend if you like the Battle of Alberta and then outdoor games. Put the kids to bed a little early tonight, pour a Pink Whitneym, and let's watch two of the best players get after it. McDavid is good if you did not already know and Calgary's defense has not been playing well at all. The Flames got called out by their coach but will they respond to the voice in the room. I think they put up a fight but not sure it will be enough for the scoring punch of the Oilers. I am not moving all my chips to the middle but will bet on it for the action and then get mad I did not bet more once I win!!

Murls Pick: Oilers 5, Flames 4 (OT)

Murley's Best Bet: Oilers ML -104 and over 3 Oilers goals +100

Murley's Last Bet: Bruins three-way - loss
