Colts Fan Site Still Somehow Says Peyton Manning Is Better Than Tom Brady

"Case closed..." ???

Please. This is by far my LEAST favorite part of my hometown, Indianapolis - the absolute refusal by so many to still, somehow, some way, admit that Tom Brady is in fact better than Peyton Manning.

It's insane. You'd think maybe after he got one for the thumb they'd say "dang, that's unprecedented for a QB gotta tip the cap". Or maybe just maybe after SIX titles they'd FINALLY say "Wow six titles tying Jordan...that's insane. It's over". Or one would think, in a rational world, maybe the 7th ring won just a couple weeks ago in his first year on a new team, in a new conference, and after winning three straight road games including wins over Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, then the new face of the league in the Super Bowl Patrick Mahomes that juuuuust maybe they could admit it.

But this isn't a rational world. Anyone with a brain can simply admit that it's the truth.

All I heard for years here in Indy was "well yeah Brady has Belichick. If Peyton had Belichick he'd have those titles, too!"

Welp. Like I mentioned above, Tom Brady left Bill Belichick, went to a team that hasn't been IN the playoffs for 13 years and won the Super Bowl in his first season with the team. Belichick couldn't field a competent offense and sputtered to miss the playoffs in his first year without having Brady back there. Check that off the box.

And the fact that Tom Brady is 43. He's only gotten better and better from 37-43. Wanna talk about getting help? Peyton limped his gimpy ass to the finish line on the backs of Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware when he was 39. Brady is 43 and still going stronger than ever. When Peyton was 40 he was making sketches about being in a retirement home and honestly on the field he looked like the geriatrics he was making fun of. Tom Brady is 43, just won his seventh Super Bowl title, fifth Super Bowl MVP, has the record for most TD combos in the postseason with Gronk and has played in 18% of the Super Bowls.

That's a case closed, Indy.
