Hello Barstool Fund,
I hope this reaches you well. I am writing on behalf of my father, Domenick Savino, who has run the Drexelbrook Catering Facility located in Drexel Hill, PA, for the past 20 years. Drexelbrook has been home to many beloved events such as weddings, proms, homecomings, team banquets, and more. My father has been supporting the Delco area for as long as I can remember and is a beloved member of the community. Drexelbrook has taken a serious blow due to the pandemic and I have watched my father become crushed with every event that is cancelled. Since March, myself, my mom and my sister have been working small events for my father as he is not even able to afford to bring staff back. As you can imagine, many weddings, school dances, and any other sort of event that would have been catered by Drexelbrook has been cancelled or pushed back into the unforeseeable future. Since the beginning of the pandemic, my father has done everything in his power to contribute to the community while trying to hold on to any event that has not already been cancelled. Back in March, my father started a front-line food delivery service titled “Food for the Front Line”. My family and I spent several weeks at Drexelbrook putting together thousands of meals that were delivered to surrounding Philadelphia area hospitals, all donated by the local people of Delco! We continued to do this for as long as we received donations which went directly to surrounding hospitals. I have seen my father’s dream of catering to the Delco/Main Line area slowly become crushed as this is the only craft he has known for so long. He puts everyone that he knows in front of himself and is always ready to help in any situation. I am writing in prayer and hopes that The Barstool Fund will see this and help out in any way possible!
