Ole Miss Signed a 6'4", 300-Pound 4-Star DL Who Also Blasts Baseballs to the Moon

Wednesday was technically National Signing Day, which used to be one of the most fun days of the year until the Early Signing Period was introduced, essentially making NSD a three-day event in December. But some players still choose to take their recruitments up until the February deadline, like Tywone Malone of Bergen Catholic (NJ) High School.

Malone, who is ranked as the No. 62 overall player in the country, ended up choosing Ole Miss and will likely make an immediate impact for Lane Kiffin and the Rebels on the football field. But do not be so fooled as to think this 6'4", 300-pound monster only tears it up on the gridiron, because he's also set to play baseball at Ole Miss — and here's why.

Yeah, that'll play. Usually when you hear a guy is going to play football and baseball, it's a 5'9" running back who's also capable of playing a good center field and stealing some bases. I don't ever remember seeing an SEC defensive tackle also suit up on the diamond, but I am excited as hell for it. Tywone is putting on for all the big boys out there.

I hope this kid does great on the football field, but I'm really primarily interested in watching him hit dingers. Every SEC football program has guys his size coming out of its ass, but Malone will be one-of-a-kind in the best baseball conference in the country. Chalk this one up as another W for the big fellas.

Thank you, Tywone.
