Emergency Blog For Kentucky Fans - Coach Cal Is Practically Begging Me To Save The Program
Brutal? Oh you think it was brutal? No fucking shit. But let's check in on what Coach Cal is saying:
You need someone to talk to. Fine. Good news is I can get to Lexington in just over an hour. I have plenty of time so I will be down ASAP because I can fix this problem. Correction: I can help save the program. You see, it's now more than just this year. This year is gone, lost, bullshit and done. There's no coming back for this team. Losing three games at the buzzer because you keep giving the ball to Olivier Sarr and then give this up? Dead in the water.
Now we can sit here and talk about Sarr because we have to. You see, I was fooled by Olivier Sarr. All he did was put up empty calorie stats at Wake Forest. That was evident right away during this year. The problem? YOU HAVE TO ADAPT. You see, that's the problem with Calipari. He refuses to adapt. He 'tweaked' the starting lineup by bringing in Dontaie Allen for BJ Boston. But you still started two fucking bigs. Lance Ware isn't a 4. Stop making it work, it doesn't. You can't sit here and play Sarr and Ware together. It's really not even that difficult. This is where Calipari needs me. Correction, this is where Kentucky needs me.
I asked friend of the program Sam Vecenie for some stats because I wanted to make sure my eyeballs and brain were correct. Not shocking, they were. Devin Askew looked awful tonight and had some bad turnovers. They tend to happen when Sarr is on the court because he's waiting for him to post up and it goes to hell. Not shocking, numbers support me.
The one lineup tonight that looked the part? Mintz, Allen, Boston, Brooks, Jackson. THEY PLAYED TWO FUCKING MINUTES before Calipari made a dumbass decision - a trend this year. They have versatility, they have offense and they can defend. Instead you bring in Sarr and Toppin. It's embarrassing.
Next season is make or break for Calipari. Either he adapts and modernizes everything or it's going to turn into a disaster. This team just hasn't figure shit out. Part of that is the problem too. But Calipari needs me to come talk. It's the simple shit. Stop playing Sarr a ton of minutes, especially down the stretch. Start playing guys for next year and focus on that. All I know is everyone associated with this team right now is an embarrassment to the program and shit needs to get right fast.
