I left my home country of Argentina in the hope of finding a better opportunity in the US. My parents back home taught me all I know about cooking, and I have been a chef for over thirty years now. It was always my dream to open my own restaurant, and in 2013 I made my dreams into a reality. Alongside my best friend, we opened La Cucina and it has been a local favorite ever since. I have made many friends and memories since opening La Cucina, as many customers come in multiple times a week to have some great food and share conversation. The coronavirus has not only limited business but also capacity inside the restaurant. The dining room is not very large, and limiting space has hurt business. I now have two kids in college, and my youngest daughter is graduating from high school this year so the coronavirus could not have struck at a worse time.
