First off, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU ARE DOING FOR SMALL BUSINESSES!
My name is Chereese Jervis-Hill and I’m the President and founder of Events To Remember, a 16 year old event management and public relations firm in Mount Kisco, NY. To say 2020 has been a hard year…, that is an understatement. I am thankful to God that my business is still here 9 months later, with my staff still in place (I’ve had to cut some of there hours, but they all still get checks every pay period).
Prior to COVID-19 we managed about 70 events annually, this year, we will close out the year with managing about a 20. We’ve converted many of our events to virtual, and have been able to do more public relations but it’s just not enough, large events are 70% of our profits, and I have been making up the short fall in office rent, taxes and payroll from my personal family savings, and I am running out of money and won’t be able to continue to do this.
