In a world gone mad, if we have nothing else, we have “Shawshank Redemption.” We have Frank Darabont’s timeless 1994 classic based on the Stephen King novella. A tale of friendship, hope, greed, the human will and, of course, redemption. Last year over the holidays our friend’ daughter, who is like the daughter we never had, was home for winter break and asked to watch Shawshank because she knew we love it and wanted to find out why all the guys at school were talking about it. It was amazing to see it through her eyes for the first time. I. Any believe it took this long for it to get the Honest Trailers treatment. But I guess some works of art are too perfect to be mocked.
