Table Tennis Returns: Everything You Need to Know Ahead of Today's Stool Streams XXXIII

Welcome to 2021, and welcome back to Stool Streams presented by High Noon Hard Seltzer. For the first time since October 26, 2020, we will be playing table tennis inside the Triple S with first serve at 2pm. A handful of familiar faces return to the table this afternoon, and a rookie makes his debut, too. Let's dive into today's triple-header lineup:

Remember to make your picks to get in on the Progressive Jackpot sweepstakes. $2,500 is yours if you can successfully go 6-for-6 on the Play Barstool app.

Match 1 - PFT Commenter vs. Hank

History: PFT 3-2, Hank 2-3 (Hank 1-0 head-to-head in sanctioned matches)

Storylines: This is the longest lasting rivalry in the history of Stool Streams, dating back to March. However, Hank and PFT have only faced off once in an official Stool Streams matchup, which took place on 9/24/20. That is when Hank beat PFT in three sets while also wearing sunglasses (21-10, 19-21. 21-14).

Quotes to Remember: "I expect a real show for the fans, it's always a great game when Hank and I get together, usually goes the distance." - PFT

"I want to sweep, I want to keep him in single digits every game." - Hank

Question 1 - Series Wiinner

Question 2 - Total Points (Game 1)

Match 2 - Marty Mush vs. Ben Mintz

History: Ben making debut, Marty 0-1

Storylines: Welcome to Stool Streams, Ben Mintz. Here's the thing about the Ole Miss product: nobody knows ANYTHING about his ping pong skills. He could be the best player in the office that nobody knows about. But we will learn a lot about his game today, when he plays in his first of two matches.

Quotes to Remember: "I was a tennis player, 25th in LA in tennis when I was 16, we grew up playing a lot of ping pong." - Ben Mintz

"I have played once over Christmas Break on a small table against my 15 year old cousin, spanked him 21-7." - Marty Mush

Question 3 - Series Winner

Question 4 - Margin of Victory (Game 2)

Match 3 - Jake Marsh vs. Ben Mintz

History: Jake 5-0, Ben making debut

Storylines: We will learn very quickly in Ben's first match about his skill level. If Marty Mush takes him down, he'll have to try and dethrone me in order to pick up his first career win. We both have significant tennis backgrounds, so I'm expecting Ben to be a very good player.

Quotes to Remember: "I hope to start my 2021 career the same way I went about my 2020 matches - by winning every single match I play." - Jake

" I don't know what to think, I'm gonna go in and try not to embarrass myself, I'm not totally sure." - Ben

Question 5 - Series Winner

Question 6 - Total Points (All Games)

First serve is at 2 PM ET. Remember to make your picks and we will see you then.
