Dave Grohl, From His Giant Throne Of Guitars, Invited a Kid Up To Play The Drums On His 18th Birthday

18th birthdays. Some people are at college, still trying to figure out how to get booze. Some people are in high school…yep, still trying to figure out how to get booze. And some people make a sign, bring it to a Foo Fighters show, and get to play the drums on stage in front of thousands of people. It’s a little good news/bad news for that kid. The good news is he lived his dream. Best birthday present he could possibly get. And he didn’t suck. He won’t be tar and feathered back stage. The bad news is now it looks like his life has peaked. Wait til his 19th birthday when it’s just him rewatching this video on loop, sipping an airplane bottle of Jack in a dark room. Life peaking at 18 is never good.
