Dear Mr. Portnoy,My name is Lidia Portillo and I am one of the owners of a small nail salon in Harlem, NYC. I recently saw your video about the barstool fund and I wanted to reach out. Sathi Nails and Spa was opened in 2018 and is a business that is female and minority owned, a joint effort between myself and a close friend. We wanted to open a salon that focused on the comfort of the customers and employees, where hygiene was a top priority and where customers felt that they were actually valued by us. We were impacted heavily by COVID just as so many other small businesses were and we fear that since indoor dining is shut down, self-care businesses are next on the list. We know that if we get shut down again we won't be able to re-open and we would have to let go of our employees. We are trying every avenue we can to get more revenue and get aid so that doesn't happen because every member of our team has family that they provide for. Any help would be greatly appreciated but we also understand if that isn't possible. What you're doing is an amazing aid to any business that gets it, so thank you!
