Hello,
My name is Cathy Esquivel and my husband and I have owned our small mexican restaurant, Mexican Riviera for almost 32 years. We’ve been a part of this amazing community helping out where we can. My husband and I have donated over 3000 burritos to our church to feed the homeless here in Los Angeles in the past 2 years. We’ve always served our community with a servants heart. To say the last 9 months have been challenging is an understatement, we’ve been at the brink of closing down, having our Home put in pre-foreclosure and coming home to disconnection notices for all our utilities. We have an amazing crew who have been family to us throughout this time, helping out wherever they can. We have not let not one employee go even using our rent money to pay our payroll multiple times. We’re always playing catch up with bills and i cant even begin to tell you about our payroll and state taxes, its all too overwhelming but when a customer sent me this (your video) he told me to write to you. We’ve never closed our doors because we need every dollar that can be made. This whole situation has put a toll on my husbands health, suffering a heart attack on July 27th. Any help from you would greatly appreciated.
Thank you for thinking of all of us small mom and pop shops because it seems we’ve been forgotten by our leaders here in California.
Thank you again,
Cathy Esquivel
