Hello, thank you so very much for what you are doing for small businesses. Whether I receive part of this grant or not I know it will go to someone who needs it and for that, I say bless you
I certainly understand that there are millions like me, each of us with our own unique story. I am a 54yo, African American, married mother of 2 with a small mental health agency. I started this business over 13 years ago with one single goal in mind: To help people transform their lives and to live an emotionally healthy life. My business is located minutes from Social Services so that those who need me most can access me. I serve anyone in need regardless of ability to pay. We serve Veterans with helping them apply for VA benefits, Medicaid and Disability. We guide them towards other services they need such as medical care, housing and employment. In addition we serve those recently released from prison as they acclimate to society. We work with parents trying to gain custody of children, children in foster care, other individuals, couples and families struggling with mental health and substance abuse. During COVID, depression and anxiety and substance abuse are at an all time high but many have lost jobs and benefits and although they need us they can’t afford to pay.
I have been using my credit card and savings to pay rent and payroll and my credit card is close to being maxed out. I can’t afford to keep my doors open without help. Any amount at all would be used either for rent or payroll or both.
Please help us to continue to save lives as we navigate through this pandemic. Blessings to you and yours and again, thank you for what you’re doing.
