The Buccaneers Are Going To The Playoffs!

This game was a rout out of the gate for an early Saturday afternoon game in Detroit. The Buccaneers drove down and scored touchdowns on their first two drives and Matthew Stafford suffered an ankle injury in the 1st quarter. The Bucs continued to pour it on and were up 27-0 at halftime. Tom Brady threw for 300+ yards for his second consecutive half of football and we were rolling:

It was a laugher by halftime:

Tom Brady didn't even play the second half, but today was about way more than beating up on a lowly Lions squad. With this win, the Buccaneers have clinched their first playoff appearance since the 2007 season. The Bucs lost to the eventual Super Bowl Champion New York Giants in the Wild Card round that year. I was a senior in college at Hofstra University. I'm now 34-years old, married with a kid.

I've seen some awful, awful football over the past 13 years. I've seen my team down 56-0 on national TV to a division rival. I've seen us down 28-0 after the 1st quarter in a home game against the Ravens. This team has drafted two hopeful franchise Quarterbacks in the first round in Josh Freeman (17th overall, 2009) and Jameis Winston (1st overall, 2015). I've seen six head coaches (Jon Gruden, Raheem Morris, Greg Schiano, Love Smith, Dirk Koetter, and now Bruce Arians) in that time span. We are finally headed to the dance and I simply cannot wait. Go Bucs!
