This Texas High School Football Player Put on a Performance for the Ages in the State Championship Game, Including the Most Vicious Stiff Arm You've Ever Seen

Consider me the conductor of the Doug Brooks hype train. This kid did it all today en route to a Texas 2A state championship for Shiner High School.

You can see that he obliterated some poor defensive back with the most wicked stiff arm I've ever seen, but that wasn't the only play he made in this game. Just take a look at what all this guy did today.

I don't care what the recruiting rankings say, Brooks is the best high school football player in the country. 247Sports has brooks unranked in the class of 2022, but does show that he has a scholarship offer from Houston. I'd imagine his performance today will earn him a look from a few bigger programs. I want to watch this kid every Saturday.

And Brooks should have had two touchdowns in the state title game — something which would be pretty cool to always have to talk about — but gave one of them to a teammate as he was about to cross the goal line. He also helped bring an injured teammate out onto the field for the final play as his team won the state title. This kid is the best.

I'm all in on Doug Brooks. Congrats to him and the rest of his teammates on their state championship.
