The NFL Has Gone All In On Making Chase Young The Face Of The League

Look, I'm not going to be a hipster about this. This if fucking awesome. This is great. It's great for Washington, it's great for us fans, and it's great for the league.

I just did a blog last week about how Chase Young has mega-star potential, based on both his play on the field and how he carries himself off the field.

And then he turned around and went out on Sunday and had an incredible game, further solidifying himself as a young star.

And now today, the NFL has anointed him atop of their official Twitter page. Guy has played a baker's dozen games in the league and is already that highly thought about by the league and the fans. He is putting Washington back on the map when it comes to football, and it's just amazing to see. We've suffered so long, and now we finally have the guy, THE GUY, to turn this whole mess around.

It just feels good to have young studs at (most of) the positions that matter. The entire D-line, Fuller and Curl in the secondary, Gibson and McLaurin on the offense, etc. We need to get a little help on the O-line and figure out the QB situation, but outside of that, this team looks REALLY GOOD.

Now I'm not an idiot, that whole "QB situation" I just glossed over is maybe the most important in the universe right now, and I haven't a clue what the answer is. Maybe it's Alex Smith again next season with Haskins behind him, maybe it's someone like Tyrod Taylor who has had the most unfortunate injury luck when it comes to starting in the league, or maybe it's someone off my radar right now (I'm not thrilled about getting someone like Matt Stafford, though it would be an upgrade).

Buy anyway, back to the blog at hand, good on the NFL for recognizing they have something special in Chase Young and it should be a blast to watch him develop and hopefully lead us to a you know what.
