The CFP Committee Is Obsessed With Iowa State And Has Forgotten Who We Should Be Rewarding

Last week when the rankings were released I wrote about the committee's blatant disrespect for the G5....even in this bizarre season.

To no one's surprise, the disrespect continued this week. Cincinnati continued to fall...why? Who the hell knows. They haven't even played a game in 2 weeks! Even after blowing out top competition all season long, they are now ranked behind 2-loss Georgia and Florida.

Florida threw a shoe and only dropped 1 spot!!! The team they lost to ranks 62nd in SP+...Cincinnati has beaten 4 teams ranked above 62nd by a combined 99 points!

Coastal Carolina still ranks 12th even though they are the only 11-0 team in America. They beat the team that took down #7 Iowa State...at home. I get that happened in September. I get that Iowa State would be favored over Coastal Carolina. They are probably the better team...but we play the games for a reason. As much as I love analytics, the game is played on the field. It's not the best team that should get in....it's the team with the best season.

Now let's talk scenarios.

Alabama - Win & In.

Notre Dame - Win & In. Maybe with a close loss.

Clemson - Win & In.

OSU - Win & In.

A&M - Win & win by Notre Dame, or Clemson (BIG), or Northwestern.

Iowa State - Win & win by Notre Dame/Clemson (BIG) & Northwestern.

Florida - Win & in (this may be controversial, but committee set that up tonight).

Georgia - Win & wins by ND, Northwestern, Oklahoma, Tennessee....this scenario may end with Oklahoma in over Georgia. It would be total chaos, so no point in debating tbh.

Cincinnati - Screwed.
