It's With Great Sadness We Inform You The Kardashian's Family Christmas Eve Party Has Been Cancelled
The Kardashians are pulling the plug on their annual Christmas party for the first time in 42 years due to the uptick in coronavirus cases. “The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year,” Khloé Kardashian announced on Twitter on Sunday, “It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978 I believe.”
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star added, “Health and safety first though! Taking this pandemic seriously is a must.”
In November, the reality star was still optimistic they would be able to hold the annual bash, writing on Twitter, “I think it will have to be way smaller obviously. And I’m totally fine with that, but we’re definitely celebrating Christmas! It will just have to be small and safe.”
Rats! It appears somehow all the islands in the world were booked up for Christmas Eve for America's most polarizing family. The virus wins again, no Christmas Eve with the Kardashians in this god forsaken year. Pain. If not this, then what joy can we have during the holiday season? 2020 is certainly taking no prisoners.
We've come a long way since Kim felt so humbled and blessed to take 50 of her closest friends to a private island to celebrate her 40th in late October. Arguably the most humbling anyone has ever been. I read they took out the Webster's dictionary definition of 'humbling' and just put this tweet instead.
Can't imagine how tough it's going to for the Kardashians later this month to not have their big bash. No celebrities, no fancy cars, no insufferable instagram stories, no shock when we see Khloe's new face of the month. None of it. Christmas is cancelled folks. They'll probably have to go to Cabo or something. Ugh, sounds exhausting.
