The Entire State Of Montana Is Enthralled By Our College Gaming Championship Superstar: The Mop
The last time I checked in with the blog surrounding our College Gaming Championship it was November. The month has changed, but the superstar from Montana State has remained just as electric.
On Wednesday night, the "Electric 8" took place. To hype up his fans, he showed them what any Montana college kid does for fun: chops wood.
And to back it up on Wednesday night, THE MOP put on an absolute show.
He took down Arizona just like he took down UNC. He's onto the Final Four and the entire state is behind him.
"I don't want to talk myself up, but I'm basically the face of the tournament."
What else is the local news going to cover in Montana except for The Mop? That's right, nothing. There's something so pure about being on the morning news. Yeah, going "viral" is much better, but knowing you were on the local news? It just hits different. I'm probably the last generation to think that. The Lil Sas' of the world probably think being on the local news is lame.
If being on the local news wasn't enough for The Mop, PFT asked him where he could get a pair of his gaming glasses, which have become synonymous with his character.
If being on one local news station and then PFT asking him where he got his glasses, The Mop was featured on yet another local news channel.
Seton Hall is going to Seton Fall. That's the best joke told on that Montana news channel, probably ever.
The Mop takes on Seton Hall in the Final Four on Wednesday and they are already taking shots at The Mop…calling him a weirdo.
If Seton Hall is going to win the psychological battle, they are going to bring more than hairline and weirdo jokes. I got The Mop. Going all the way. Putting the state of Montana on his back. One local news segment at a time.
