Today In College Hoops Weirdness: Notre Dame Scheduled A Game This Weekend Because Mike Brey Went On Twitter And Asked To Play Anyone, Anywhere

This was last week when Notre Dame started looking for a game. Fast forward to today:

This is the shit I'm talking about. I don't care how games get scheduled, we need them scheduled. We've seen teams go about it all different ways. Hosting events, traveling to events. Shit, Jay Wright pretty much refused to leave Bubbleville up in Connecticut.

Bob Huggins went straight to the source and called ESPN and essentially demanded that WVU plays Gonzaga.

Mind you they were already in South Dakota playing in what was the Battle 4 Atlantis at the time. Fucking love it. Again, the goal this year is to get to 25ish games for every team in the country. Somehow, someway you have to get there. For Notre Dame it was going on Twitter and trying to book a game that way.

Plus, Chief gets to watch his favorite player again. Win-win all around

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I hope this year changes how we schedule games.  Yeah, there still needs to be the buy-games so everyone gets their money. But these random decent games need to be more common. It's been an awesome start to the season from a scheduling standpoint. Oh, we also need the true AAU style where you don't know who you're playing until you show up to the gym. We're practically there already.
