Thank God. Better late than never, but unfortunately after last week's chance to take down Northwestern at home...it still may be too late. Purdue didn't have to play at Wisconsin this year because COVID got in the way. They had the undefeated and top dog Wildcats in West Lafayette last weekend and the offense just couldn't get it done late.
To be fair, Peyton Ramsey did drive up and down the field without the pass rush help of George Karlaftis, but even still the offense had the ball down seven late in the fourth quarter with a chance to drive down and tie it and they failed. Would have helped a TON to have Rondale out there countering the heavy coverage on David Bell.
At least it's finally back tonight and we once and for all get to see a fully developed David Bell, and the 2018 First Team All-American out there together on the same field. Time for Brohm to dial up some beauties, Aidan O'Connell to throw some beauties, and Bell and Moore to go off in a Big Ten standalone game on Friday night.
Purdue owes Minnesota, too. The Gophers and PJ Fleck have won the last two meetings including an absolute embarrassment in the snow up in Minneapolis two years ago. Time to go 3-1 and stay in this thing in the Big Ten West.
