Coastal Carolina Coach Jamey Chadwell Says He Has Bigger Issues to Worry About Than the South Carolina Job Because His Wife Has a Brake Light Out

With Will Muschamp given his pink slip at South Carolina on Sunday, Coastal Carolina head coach Jamey Chadwell immediately became a name of interest to potentially fill the first SEC job opening of 2020. But to hear him tell it, he's got bigger fish to fry right now; his wife had a broken brake light.

This is a couple Football Guy moves rolled into one. First of all, he knows that no work is getting done at the facility as long as his wife's brake light is out. You have to take care of everything on the home front first. And then he's obviously refusing to comment on a job that he definitely wants but is not going to put that out there publicly because he still has some of this season left with an undefeated team ranked No. 15 in the country. He's going to do his duty to those kids.

But as soon as that taillight is fixed, you know damn well Chadwell's agent will be on the phone with South Carolina making sure they know his client is just a short drive away.
