Anyone Surprised That There Were A Million Arrests At The Lambeau Field Kenny Chesney Concert?

(Source) Alcohol factored into all 22 arrests made during Saturday’s Kenny Chesney-Jason Aldean concert at Lambeau Field. Green Bay police report a steady stream of arrests and ejections, with several fights reported and the arrests beginning in earnest before 8 p.m. and continuing almost until midnight Most arrests involved typical charges at a Lambeau event: Unlawful conduct at a public event, and resisting arrest.

“It looks like alcohol was involved in every single one of them,” Police Lt. David Paral said. He also said most of the people arrested are from outside the area. Police and firefighters said they were busier than they are at most Green Bay Packers games. Green Bay Metro firefighters responded to between 50 and 60 calls for assistance and transported four or five people to area hospitals, said Steve Sellin, a battalion chief.

“Early-season Bears games are usually our busiest, and we might get 40 calls then,” Sellin said. “For an average game, the number might be in the 20s.” Paral said police did not track ejections during the event, in part because they were so busy. But he said the volume of ejections “was nuts” at points in the evening. Unlike at football games, officers did not fill out “ejection slips” for those who were removed.

Sellin said the scene was similar in the stadium’s medical areas. “The EMS rooms,” he said, “had lines out the door.” A number of the people accused of unlawful conduct were released on $880 bond. The concert attracted 53,363 fans. By comparison, 10 people were arrested and 170 required medical treatment at a Chesney concert in Pittsburgh in late-May, TribLive.com reported.

Is this really shocking? Would anyone go to the zoo, open all the gates that house the animals then be shocked when mayhem, chaos, and poop ensue? Of course not. This is why you can’t bring nice things to Lambeau Field. It would be like asking a 4 year old to sit still at a 5 star restaurant. I feel bad for Kenny Chesney, he wants to put on a nice fun concert and little does he realize the people of Green Bay are foaming out the mouth, fist fighting the world and pooping their pants. That wasn’t an exaggeration either, that wasn’t me being biased, all those things literally happened.

• 8:30 p.m. — “Belligerent fan spilling beer.”
• 8:57 p.m. — An intoxicated male is foaming at the mouth.
• 9:43 p.m. — A male party has a nose injury and gets tased.
• 9:48 p.m. — A huge fight breaks out near the Lambeau pro shop.
• 10:17 p.m. — A male is groping women.

Sad sad state of affairs. If anything the NFL should look into moving games away from this awful dump for at least the 2015 season. Maybe a real city with class? Because clearly the people of Green Bay Wisconsin don’t deserve nice things.
