Tiger Woods Matches His Lowest First Round Score Ever at Augusta National

Tiger Woods, after 1 round at the 2020 Masters Tournament, is -4 (68). Boner time. He looked healthy, he looked happy and he looked dialed the fuck in.

Think about Tiger and the history he has made at Augusta National…and now think about how at 44 years old he just posted a first round score in the 60s for just the second time in his entire life at the Masters.

Morning thunderstorms and a delayed tee time were no match for the Boss Man. Tiger came out strong and played his game throughout the day. Tiger hit 10/14 fairways (71%) and 15/18 GIR (83%) and put on a very solid putting display. If anything, the putting was the worst part of his game today. When you hit 83% of those soft greens, you’re going to have A LOT of good birdie looks so he definitely left some strokes out on the greens today. All in all it was a great opening round from Tiger and has him exactly where he needs to be to contend for his 6th green jacket. 

Couple highlights from todays round:

First hole of a major is always the most nervewracking when watching Tiger…never know which Tiger we're going to get until that that ball is in the air. Perfect draw on one right down the middle and we were off. 

Everyone’s heart stopped when this ball continued to track toward the hole on 16
