If You Think About It, The WAP Dance Is Actually A Great Goalie Drill
Whether they intended to or not, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion may have just inspired a new style of hockey goaltending. Well, maybe not brand new. I mean we saw Tim Thomas use the same "just flop around all over the place" technique for years, and eventually it led him to getting his name on the Cup. But I'm willing to bet that if you put Cardi and Megan in some goalie gear and just told them to dance around in net, they'd put up a highly respectable .915 save percentage without even trying to stop the puck.
The unorthodox movements here would make it hell for the shooter. And while the rebound control may be a little sketchy, their ability to roll around and recover is unmatched. Butterfly, two-pad stack, full split. The WAP has it all. At the very least, it's a great drill for any goalie to get warmed up for puck drop. Maybe leave the kids at home the next time you show up to an NHL game during warmies. Things are about to get pretty spicy out there.
