College students at a University in Tegalalang, Bali are being allowed to pay their tuition fees with Coconuts.

Venus One Tourism Academy has come up with a solution for their students that have been unable to pay their tuition fees due to the pandemic.

The college has found a way to empower their student entrepreneurship skills while being able to pay their tuition at the same time.

Venus One Tourism Academy official, Wayan Pasek Adi Putra said during an interview with Bali Puspa News that students are able to bring coconuts that are being used to harvest Virgin Coconut Oil at the school.

“At first we began an installment program to pay their tuition fees, but now we’ve become even more flexible. We’ve been producing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and we try to get them involved during the production process by paying their tuitions with only coconuts” Putra said.

Ah, what a life. Just hanging out in Bali and deciding that you wanna go to college so you can better yourself. Wouldnt you know it, youre poor as shit and cant afford college. Bali doesn't have a GI Bill so joining the military isnt an option. What to do what to do.

Ah yes. You can climb up into the trees and get some coconuts and deliver them to your math professor! They fucking love coconuts.

"Chaps! Chaps! why do math professors love coconuts?"

Well, they love coconuts because it makes word problems that much easier. For instance, a typical question can look something like this:

You own a catering business that makes specialty cakes. Your company has decided to create three types of cakes. To create these cakes, it takes a team that consists of a decorator, a baker, and a design consultant. Cake A takes the decorator 9 hours, the baker 6 hours, and the design consultant 1 hour to complete. Cake B takes the decorator 10 hours, the baker 4 hours, and the design consultant 2 hours. Cake C takes the decorator 12 hours, the baker 4 hour, and the design consultant 1 hour. Without hiring additional employees, there are 398 decorator hours available, 164 baker hours available, and 58 design consultant hours available. How many of each type of cake can be created

Difficult, right? Each year the math professor takes so much time breaking that problem down. Now with coconuts, it's much easier.

Having the coconuts in the room so the students can visualize the problem will be a tremendous asset for these teachers. So while letting people pay with coconuts might seem foolish, in my opinion, it just cuts out the middle man. Good business.
