Trevor Lawrence Ruled OUT This Weekend Against BC After Testing Positive For COVID-19

This absolutely stinks for Trevor. He will be out for Saturday’s game against Boston College after testing positive for covid.

Believe or not, this news was actually first reported by our very own BMOC:

So, what does this mean for Clemson?

1. Something to monitor over the next day and a half is if this spread throughout the Clemson locker room. Hopefully it hasn’t. If it has spread within the QB room Saturdays game will be cancelled just like it was with Wisconsin.

2. As long as the game goes on as scheduled, Clemson will be fine against BC. The line was around 30 before this news. They shouldn’t lose with their 4th string QB if it came to it.

3. The bigger issue for Clemson? They have Notre Dame next week. Now this isn't the Big 10 where if you test positive you have to sit out 21 days, but Lawrence is going to have 10 days to clear protocols and pass the necessary amount of tests.

4. This will be an awesome opportunity for DJ Uiagalelei, their five star freshman backup QB. He is the heir apparent to Lawrence if and when he bounces for the NFL next year.
