The Pelicans Hiring Stan Van Gundy As Their New Head Coach Means It's Time To Fire Up The Two Greatest Pictures Ever

The basketball fan is me is pissed Stan Van Gundy got hired because he was awesome as an analyst. But the blogger in me is pumped that he's back in the game for the sole reason we get to fire up the two greatest pictures ever taken:

They are both absolutely hilarious and I will get a chuckle each time I see them. As for the hire? I think it's actually smart, but now it completely changes what the Pelicans are going to do. Most assumed they would trade some of their vets and try to keep stockpiling young talent to play with Zion and Lonzo and Jaxson Hayes, etc. But SVG is known to love his vets. Does that limit what happens with Jrue Holiday? Man, Zion and SVG? Those two dudes are going to MURDER some beignets. 

Again, I think this is a good hire. SVG has had a ton of success in Orlando before going to the mess that is the Pistons. Letting him help develop Zion and that group is going to be key. Now we just need the Rockets to hire Jeff Van Gundy and we'll have must see TV.
