I saw this tweet last night and had to click on it since I know the source doesn't throw around those kind of compliments easily and holy shit am I happy I clicked. I didn't get to catch a lot of Boomer & Carton when they were on the air together because my morning routine never really synced up with their show. But I am sincerely bummed that I missed out on this comedic gem when it happened. Listening to Barry in Highland Park get thrown in the mental torture chamber and live the sports talk radio caller version of Groundhog Day over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER and over and over and over and over again is fucking hilarious then somehow goes from funny to funnier to maybe this has peaked to somehow funniest as it keeps going over and over and over and over and over again (along with him being called Harry which had me as well as everyone else on the show LOL'ing like a hyena). Barry was The Cousins before The Cousins were The Cousins.
After listening to that whole 10 minute snippet, I honestly don't even know what Barry's point was outside of it was first the Yankees and then the Mets. I guess Barry liked Jacoby Ellsbury but just not at an astronomical price and thought the Mets were a joke of a franchise? So I guess Barry went 1-for-2 on his takes considering Ellsbury would've been a bust at half the price while the Mets sprinkled in a bunch of embarrassing moments in between a World Series appearance and a Wild Card round loss. But I guess the biggest takeaway from this is that the WFAN drive time slot may thrive once again if Carton lands there with my guy Evan Roberts.
