The Falcons Are Shutting Down Their Facility After Multiple Positive COVID Tests

Sitting at 0-5 having just fired your head coach and now shutting down your facility for positive COVID tests is not an enviable place to be as an NFL franchise in 2020, but that's where the Falcons now find themselves. Adam Schefter reported Atlanta had four positive tests this morning after rookie DL Marlon Davidson was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list yesterday.

Everything seemed to be going pretty well in the NFL as it relates to COVID for the first month of the season or so, but first it was the Titans and now the Falcons have shut down their practice facility due to an outbreak. When it was all said and done, the Titans being unable to play for one week ended up affecting about 10 games and changed the schedule for the entire League.

So if the Falcons are unable to play this week, we'll have to do this all over again. A Falcons official said the team is still working through details and claimed the team was "not at four confirmed (cases)," so we'll see if this ends up being enough to shut the team down for this week — or possibly longer.

Not great, though!
