Padres' Tommy Pham Stabbed Outside Of A Strip Club This Weekend

(NBCS San Diego)

Padres outfielder Tommy Pham is recovering from stab injuries he sustained Sunday night outside a Midway District strip club.

Pham was in the parking lot of Pacers Showgirls International on Midway Drive at around 10:30 p.m. when he was stabbed during a fight, according to the San Diego Police Department.

He suffered at least one stab wound to his back and was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries, SDPD said.

“We are aware of the incident last night involving Tommy Pham," a statement from the Padres said. "He was treated at UC San Diego Health and is currently in good condition. He is expected to make a full recovery. The San Diego Police Department is actively investigating the incident and we will have no further comment at this time.”

Well what the fuck? This is not the news I expected to wake up to this morning. The good news is is that Pham is all good and will be back on his offseason training regimen in no time. Those are his words. Glad to hear it. But like... take a page out of Pacman Jones' book and stay away from strip clubs if you're rich and famous, and *especially* stay away from them at 1030pm on a Sunday. NOTHING good can come from that in the day of social media. One second Electra is smashing her tits in your face, the next second you're being blasted on twitter for Electra smashing her tits in your face by some dude getting tits smashed into his face in the booth next to you, the next you're being held up with a dude wielding a switch blade while you wait for the valet service to return your decked out Range Rover.

I've seen it a thousand times. When will celebrities learn? I mean just hit up Carl. He's got a "guy" for everything, and I'm sure everything includes having a stripper supply guy on retainer. His DMs are wide open I'm sure. Slide right in there and Carl's guy will supply you with a stripper in no time.

Seriously though - thank god it was nothing serious. 2020 doesn't need anymore twists or turns, and as cliche as saying "fuck 2020" is, it's the goddamn truth.
