Can We Admit the Braves Are the Best Team in Baseball Now?

I'm glad everybody who's been blowing the Los Angeles Dodgers all season finally had to take a little bit of medicine tonight. The Atlanta Braves are the best team in baseball and now L.A. has to win four games in six tries if it wants to take that title from us.

Things were looking dicey there for a while, but the Braves did what they always do: got Walker Buehler out of the game, got deep into the Dodgers' bullpen and then exploded for a four-run ninth inning that led to a 5-1 Game 1 victory. And damn it, this feels good.

My favorite Braves Postseason memory prior to tonight was Eric Hinske's pinch-hit home run in the 2010 NLDS that gave Atlanta a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning before the Braves promptly blew it minutes later and lost the game and the series. But we're done with all that now.

We're here to win the whole damn thing. I'm sick and tired of hearing about how great the Dodgers are. They scored one run and the only reason they got that was because Max Fried made one bad pitch out of 100 tonight. They were shut down.

I'm so ready to win this series. I want it so bad. Let's do it, y'all.
