Daily Mail- A senior mafia man sentenced to 14 years in jail has been released – because he is allergic to prison. Giulio Lampada, 44, who managed the affairs of the Condello clan, lost 10 kilos in seven months and never left his cell. He reportedly refused to eat anything other than fruits and snacks while he was inside, and after being visited by dozens of doctors, was finally declared ‘incompatible’ not only with detention in prison, but also with the transfer to a psychiatric ward. According to the reports, a life of crime had caused him to develop an aversion to men in uniforms, while the bars of his prison cell have led to him developing depression. A judge in Milan has allowed him to move back home under house arrest so that he can recover. Lampada was caught in November 2011 and sentenced to 14 years and five months in jail for Mafia associations. His lawyer Giuseppe Nardo said: ‘During his time in jail in the Liguria region, he never left his cell. He even needed help to go to bathroom.’ He has been allowed back to a house in Settimo Milanese, on the outskirts of Milan, to live in freedom after medics said it was the only way he could get better.

That’s jail! That’s what jail is! You’re supposed to be super scared of the dudes in uniforms AND the bars of your prison cell are supposed to depress the fuck out of you and make you reflect on whatever horrible thing you’ve done. Might as well add,”Umm I also don’t like showering with other men, getting raped in the shower when the guards aren’t looking, oh, and what’s with all these super tall concrete walls that don’t allow us to escape?” If the prisons start listening to what the inmates do and don’t like about their time in the slammer it’ll end up being a weekend resort with hookers. Props to that mafia guy though. He went from being in jail for 14 years to chilling in some house somewhere that isn’t jail. Whatever he’s paying his lawyer, triple it.
